Phillip Collins
About
Phil is an immigration attorney based in Grand Rapids, Michigan providing of counsel advice and support to Gambacorta Law. His practice began in Tucson, Arizona, where he worked as an immigration program manager for a nonprofit refugee resettlement agency. During his time there, he managed the USCIS Citizenship & Assimilation grant for the agency, helping hundreds of local immigrants, asylees, and refugees through the citizenship process. He also gained intensive experience in the area of family- and marriage-based petitions, green card applications, and consular processing.
In 2017 and 2018, Phil began a solo practice that concentrates mainly on providing freelance immigration legal writing services for other professionals. He continues to represent his own clients, but has gained significant experience in waivers, appeal briefs, responses to USCIS RFEs, and immigration court motions. He aspires to eventually pursue continuing legal education in International Human Rights Law and work in legal humanitarian matters as well as in U.S. immigration law.
